T-Rex Exit Detector

The T-Rex is a sophisticated and cost effective request to exit (REX) device for all access control applications and an alternative to installing an exit button. The T-Rex allows Hands-Free exit as it detects the user as they approach the exit and automatically unlocks or shunts the door. Unlike all other exit detectors, the T-Rex uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to distinguish between a hand reaching to push the door and a person walking past the door. This eliminates false detection down to the smallest of areas, i.e. a door push plate.

  • Hands free - no buttons to push
  • Integrated 90dB sounder that is activated when the door is left open or forced from the outside.
  • Zone of detection easily adjustable from 90cto 5°c to ensure pinpoint accuracy for detection.
  • Digital Signal Processing (DSP), coupled with Infrared detection recognises fast human movement towards the door i.e. a hand reaching for the push plate. This prevents the door being able to be opened by sliding objects under the outside of the door.
  • Available with Tamper, Timer, Piezo.
